Special Trustee Meeting – March 08, 2023

The Board of Deerfield Township Trustees met for a special meeting on Wednesday, March 08, 2023 at 5:00pm with Trustees Ed Dean, Mark Bann and Tiffany Havens present to interview candidates for the Deerfield Fire Department Fire Chief position.
Ed made a motion to leave regular meeting and go into executive session to consider the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee or official, or the investigation of charges or complaints against a public employee, official, licensee, or regulated individual. Tiffany seconded the motion and the roll call vote was unanimous.
Ed made a motion to come out of executive session and back into the regular meeting. Tiffany seconded the motion and the roll call vote was unanimous.
Ed made a motion to hold a special meeting on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 5:00pm to interview the remaining candidates for the Deerfield Fire Department Fire Chief position.
Monday will conclude the 1st round of interviews, for a total of six (6) candidates. Once complete, they will hold a 2nd round of interviews with a designated chief or fire expert panel to take into consideration their recommendation.
Ed made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Tiffany seconded the motion and the roll call vote was unanimous.
Meeting adjourned at 6:55pm.
